I had a request for a "This or That" template, so I've created one here: goo.gl/Y5nurz. Using the "GIF Collection" you can create a "This or That" student choice activity for your students fairly quickly. Here's how:
Click the link to the template an click "Make a copy" to get your own copy of "This or That".
Click the link to the "GIF Collection" on the first slide so that the folder will be in your "Shared with Me" tab (or if you already added it to My Drive, you'll find the files there.)
Go to "insert", then "image" (GIFs are images even though they seem like videos) and select "From Drive" then "Shared with Me" (or My Drive if appropriate).
Select the image you want to include.
Resize from the corner handles (to preserve proportion) as needed. If you want to crop the image, double click on it and you can drag the black middle handles to cut off the unneeded part of the image. (That's a great thing about GIFs; you can crop them unlike video which you can't!)
Finish putting in the rest of your GIFs and you're good to go! If you use all of the slides it will be a 5 minute workout (30 seconds per slide, or you can change out the timer for whatever length you'd like).
One note, you do have to manually advance the presentation unless you use Publish to the web which is a lesson for another time! Enjoy!!
