Getting kids moving through dance can be a challenge, especially if you don't feel confident yourself. This Google Slides file: goo.gl/Pm5aH5 can really make it easy. To get kids started with the idea of creating dance, project this file and do the following:

Put students in small groups and tell them they will create a dance using any combination of the moves shown. The group must learn their dance and be able to perform it, as a group.

Play music. Students can either perform their dance for the class, with the class dancing along, or students can perform the dance for the teacher when ready.

Allowing students to create their own move or moves to include will increase creativity!! I'm guessing that a bunch of you will come up with many other innovative ways to use this file. Go for it!!
