Text Giraffe

http://textgiraffe.com/logos/ offers fun ways to display text. Callen Martin Fowler (@MsPhysEduDP) shared this site a while back on Twitter and I finally got around to exploring it!

There are a ton of unique, creative text options available as seen here:

And it's super easy to use the text in your Slides or Docs files by simply dragging the resultant text up to a tab with an open Slides or Docs file, and down onto the slide/page:

Tons of fun and a great way to capture your students' interest in lessons you create. No log-in or account creation required!

"How to Eat Healthy" shared by Sarah Miller

We received an email that a Girl Scout Troop has been working on their Staying Fit badge, which requires the girls to start moving with an exercise routine and educates them on how to properly fuel their bodies with nutritional food. In addition to using CBHPE to locate resources, one of the troup's members, Sarah Miller, researched and located an additional, extremely useful, healthy eating guide and wanted to share it...

What a great and helpful find!! Thank you, Sarah!

We have, also, included this link in our "Virtual Grocery Store" resource, as it is a terrific addition.

Health Resource from Jeff Bartlett

A great tip from Jeff Bartlett (@bartletthealth):

"My new favorite resource, and one I HIGHLY recommend for all educators, especially those in #healthed, is the “Character Strong Weekly” email from @careacter. It’s a weekly email with “a quick idea or strategy for educators to help you transform your daily work.”
